BARE
BARE is a unique lifestyle brand inspired by art, culture and travel.
We create travel accessories with a focus on innovative design, distinctive material selection and versatility. Our products cater to the stylish world traveler with an adventurous spirit and a passion to seek experience.

ETHOS
Sustainability and ethical production not only inspires a shift in the thinking around how we impact our world as a business, but it also speaks volumes about who BARE is as a team and the shared vision and ideals we hold for this company. Without a positive impact, without a way to encourage, uplift, educate and make meaning by what and how we produce, the greatest product achievement would still only be a product and not an agent of change or inspiration. With BARE we’re committed to creating both. The work we do at BARE is as much about innovative design as it is about transparency and education. By communicating the process of our entire creation cycle, we give consumers an inside look at the design, ethical manufacturing and sustainable choices that go into our collections. This will inspire and influence consumers and other brands to embrace social, environmental and ethical change. We don’t believe the correlation between sustainable business and bottom line is adversarial and our goal is to prove this point through the items we produce alongside the practices BARE adopts.

FAMILY
The BARE company is a family– through bond or blood, the difference is irrelevant. Two of the founders, Grason Ratowsky and Justin Biel, have known each other since childhood, and grew up together in Boulder, CO. Whether riding camels through the Sahara Desert, Scuba diving off the coast of Fiji or skydiving in the south of New Zealand, the two best friends joint experiences run deep. As teenagers Grason and Justin always dreamed of starting a company and going into business together and BARE is the realization of that decade long dream.
Joining Grason and Justin in this creative pursuit and rounding out the founding BARE team is Lo Sampadian.
Lo and Grason met in Brooklyn, NY where Grason was making art full time and running his own Art Gallery. Grason and Lo have been creating side by side since meeting one night in Bushwick. They inspire one another, whether through Art, Music, Travel or Fashion, Grason and Lo push one another to explore their passions.
MISSION
BARE strives to push the boundaries of creativity in the fashion marketplace and continually inspire a shift in the thinking around innovative design, ethical business practices and philanthropic impact.
