A Year in the Life of BARE

This week, on October 15th, BARE celebrates it’s One Year Anniversary!

It’s almost overwhelming to think back on this last year and what it means to us as a company.  It’s been a year full of learning and growth, successes and failures, creative expansion, and extreme high and lows.  BARE’s one-year anniversary brings up a myriad of emotions but the underlying one, the emotion that stabilizes all the others, and makes all the others worthwhile, is joy.

When you’re in the swing of running, or should I say starting a business, all other aspects of your life become muted.  The business is your passion, your focus, your excitement, and your sorrow.  Your emotions become inextricably tied to this activity, this all-encompassing endeavor that requires a level of courage and faith that at times borders on insanity, or obsession.  I think all entrepreneurs are a bit crazy, but crazy people create crazy ideas, which in turn can change the world.

Without our team none of this could have been possible.  When one of us was down, the team was there to pick them back up.  We’re extremely lucky to work with the most talented people and it’s only because of their support, creative drive, and genius, that we have made it this far, and accomplished all the great things that BARE stands for today.

This one-year anniversary has a twofold meaning.  We first must take time to look at the past, to pause and appreciate the brand BARE we’ve only begun to build – a brand based on cutting edge fashion design, transparent business practices, made of friends and family who not only strive to make the best, most creative products, but a brand based on inspiration, focused on chasing dreams and following passion no matter the cost.

We must also give thanks.  Thanks for our team, our partners, our mentors, and our families.  Thanks to all the people who have helped along the way.   Thanks to the BARE collections we’ve created to date, and thanks to the beautiful, or dare I say inspirational, BARE collections to come.

 

   

Most of all we give thanks to the first phase of BARE brand ambassadors, every one of you who has been there, our core group of fans who has supported us during this first, crucial year.  Without you all, and the connection to the products we make and what they stand for, this project would have ended long ago.

If you’ve supported BARE in any way, we don’t look at you as customers, partners, or retailers.  We look at you as part of the BARE family, and from the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for allowing us to live our dream each, and every single day.
