After receiving a burlap coffee sack from his father who had been working in Costa Rica with EARTH University, Grason Ratowsky was inspired to create the eco-accessories company BARE and the BARE Burlap Collection with his best friend and travel buddy, Justin Biel, who just so happens to be Jessica Biel’s brother.

BARE is a socially responsible eco-accessories line handmade in Colorado, where the friends-turned-business partners grew up, that is based on authentic, simplistic, and functional ideals with designs that embrace necessity and global utility.

The company sources repurposed burlap coffee sacks from their local roasters, and with a combination of up-cycled and high quality materials, hand makes limited collection runs in their local Denver manufacturing facility. The prints, designs and markings on the BARE Burlap Collection, which are unique to each and every bag they make, display the real, unaltered life story of the coffee sacks from which their distinct design element originated.
